CONTEMPORARY KITCHEN DESIGN IN BEECH
This new-build home, created by a family of sawmill owners, harmoniously combines elegance with naturalness, reflecting their profound affinity for real wood. The living heart of the house is the custom-made beech kitchen – the wood type that plays a particularly important role in the company.
At the client’s request, the wooden surfaces were finished with white oil especially for this project, in order to emphasise the modernity of the design. Marked by simplicity and functionality, the kitchen blends smoothly into the architecture with its floor-to-ceiling cabinets, while the free-standing island provides a view of nature while cooking. Running around the corner, the kitchen conceals its own pantry, which is accessible through a concealed door. The spacious niche and an integrated display case deliberately break up the wooden surfaces, giving the calm design a fascinating aesthetic. The careful use of dark natural stone further creates a beautiful and powerful contrast to the light-coloured wooden fronts in beech white oil.
